How are the Maternity Tights 250 DEN made?
Tibor Oravecz, Sock Knitting Workshop Proprietor:
Continuing the 19th century tradition of sock knitting on Gyula (town of 30.000 in East-Hungary), the Bokatex KFT company was established in 1990.
We work with 80 different knitting machines on the 500 m2 of the main building.
All of our products are made of the highest quality of OEKO-TEX® certified materials (completely free from harmful chemicals and safe for human use).
Our main profile are the socks (women’s, men’s and children’s also).
Beside of thermal, sport and compression socks, one of our speciality is the production of maternity tights.
The main stream of the maternity clothes are made in a small sewing workshop in Budapest, Hungary.
Some of the underwear are made in Italy by Bellissima FAP and in Germany / Austria by Anita GMBH.
Fiore and Lida tights are made in Poland.
Where can I see them?
For now the only place in Ireland is in Killarney – 10 New Street.
There are plans for the near future to open a second shop in a different County which hasn’t been finalised yet.
However, Killarney is a perfect tourist destination even for a weekend get-away. A brilliant idea to combine your maternity shopping with a bit of relaxing activities offered by the National Park and many spas and beauty salons around.
